As many of you are aware, the proposed stimulus package passed the House and Senate and is expected to be signed today, February 17th, by President Obama.   In the package are proposed changes related to COBRA administration.  These changes will affect payroll Form 941 and withholding tax tables.  We have been aware of the proposed package as has our payroll software company. We have both been participating in weekly IRS conference calls to gather as much information as possible about the changes. 

We have found it necessary to assemble a designated team, to include our software developer, to understand the potential impact and determine the specific changes to the payroll industry. As details are released further on the package and as we are informed of changes affecting payroll we will keep you updated.
